the parade...

started at 10:00 am. about 150 motorcycle riders (the patriot guards, standing up for those who stood up for us) roared into town and took up positions on both sides of the street with american flags. then the parade started with a marching military band and two ww2 vets marching down the middle of the closed off highway. then came all of the beauty queens, beauty kids, old cars, re-enactors, and all of the necessary things that make up an old time parade. lots of local people participated and everyone turned out as the day was a nice sunny day, tho a bit brisk and breezy. all of this after a masonic sponsored breakfast. after the parade there was a free lunch served by the local fire department at the fire station. free hamburgers and hotdogs, chips and all the fixins. who says there is no free lunch?!
