but where to go next?
well i don't know, lets look at the map.
ok... look, there's a road going south to a state park on an island... we could go there.
sure.. why not. it looks like a great place to decompress. let's do it!
so we did. we went to east grand isle state park. it is at the end of the road going south from new orleans. what a beautiful place. there is very little going on there. just some fising boats and exxon mobile oil company, gulf of mexico operations. we bought some fresh(frozen) shrimp and waited out the rain. and what a storm it was! thunder and lightening and hail all night. blew a fuse in a transformer on a pole about 80 feet from our camper that night, BAM... woke the hell out of me i can tell you. three pounds of shrimp only cost $10 and we got two meals out of them, one grilled shrimp on the barbie, the other shrimp arribiatta over penne pasta... yum. and what of the cultural experiences? see the next post dear reader, and be amazed.
