while in apalachicola two days later,we visited dolores's sweet shoppe and had a snack, the hummingbird cake was phenominal, if you ever go there you must order a piece, but bring help to eat it. dolores and her partner in culinary pursuits put out some tasty treats to satisify any appatite. the shop next door had various curiosities, including a basket of unfortunate alligator heads. if their momma only knew.... well, we did't purchase any but the picture isn't bad. too bad for the 'gator babies tho. they could have grown up to maybe invent a cure for the common cold, but they ended up losing their heads to a basket in a curio shoppe. there were some things worth seeing in the little town, we hung around for a while, it was a nice day and the camera was working well.
